Tokio Hotel enthused with professional stage show

DORTMUND "Do you want more? Are you still able to go on?" shouts Bill Kaulitz into his megaphone after 20 minutes of Tokio Hotel live in Dortmund. As if only rudimentarily he could beat the 12000 screaming girls in the Westfalenhalle.

The latter had already camped at the car parks in front of the hall partially for weeks in March, had endured the cancellation of the only concert in Germany and also this time, for the catch-up date, they had stayed overnight for days before admission. Their accumulated tension for months wanted to be unloaded now. "You want more?" Bill shouts again inquiringly and demands: "Then scream!" 126 decibels from bright kids' throats fill out the hall. The band itself, on the other hand, is supposed to play with only 90 decibels. For anyone who does not have earplugs, it is a painful experience.

With stories of the search for the great love, "this one particular person", Bill Kaulitz enchants his fans in Dortmund on Friday evening, lets thousands of girls' and certainly some boys' hearts beat faster. At least, the screaming is the loudest at this moment. Ten-year-old girls are calling for his love or a child on cardboard signs, while their mothers are sitting on the side ranks and singing along each line of the first hit: "Ich muss durch den Monsun..."

Including the encore, Tokio hotel rocks the hall for a good 90 minutes, presents a professional and light-intensive stage show, the well-known songs of their two albums and everything else that the fan's heart desires: jumping, clapping, singing along and in between love declarations like "You are the best fans of the World". The four boys from Magdeburg work perfectly. Front man Bill, this androgynous type with glittering T-shirt, dark kohl crayon eyes and accurately styled socket hairdo, makes sure smooth melodies with a soft and recovered voice. Twin brother Tom, bassist Georg and drummer Gustav provide the rocking sound as a counter-program. A mixture/combination that brought Tokio Hotel nearly all German music awards and international success.

Just in time and appropriate to the target group, the concert comes to an end at 10 pm. The only one in Germany. The four boys fly to France next, then Spain, Portugal and Italy. Tokio Hotel is a German export hit. Even in Israel and the United States teens suddenly learn German to be able to sing along. So far, only Rammstein achieved that.
